The Kiwanis Club of Denver Projects Include:

  • Sponsor East High and Pinnacle Key Club (a students service club) - provide leadership and community service opportunities.
  • Griffith Centers for Children - founding sponsor of transitional home and treatment programs for emotionally troubled youth.
  • Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute - promote childhood safety through injury research, prevention, outreach & education
  • Sobriety House (founded by Reverend Ernest Baber, a past member of our club)
  • Supporting the Open Door Youth Gang Alternatives Program - mentoring at-risk kids in after school programs, raising money through our annual Golf Tourney.
  • Habitat for Humanity - building homes.
  • Salvation Army - to support disadvantaged youth.  We ring bells to raise funds and awareness of those in need during the holidays.
  • Volunteer and financial support for annual toy sale at the Denver Santa Claus Shop.
  • YMCA youth programs.
  • Girl Scout Camperships.
  • Recognition and awards for outstanding junior high school students in Denver.
  • In addition, we have a Kiwanis Foundation that contributes $30,000 - $40,000 annually to local charities.
